In a nutshell…

I too am a customizer. I created this site to “scratch my own itch”, as they say and figured others might use it too.

There are too many sites that sell parts to keep track of and some sites don’t even name the parts something that is easy to find… like “Custom Bald Blue Alien” – it’s a Duros, but I can’t search for Duros and thus can’t find it.

So, this idea is to bring all of the parts from all of the good customizing sites into one searchable place. To see an example… try searching for Duros here. You will get Duros products from multiple sites!

Think of this as our own personal “customizer parts search engine”. Feedback, comments, ideas are welcome! Leave a comment on this page or email me directly at brian @ this domain name. If you want to help with tagging products so they are searchable (i.e. identifying some of the products – like who is Bug Eyed Worker and what species? – stuff like that) email me or leave a comment on this page.

Right now the has only mostly Star Wars items, and mostly 1:12 scale, but I’m adding more items and sites as I find them.

My TODO list for the site in no particular order:

  • Tweak the search – it’s not bad but not perfect. Works for now though
  • Add more data/tags – many items are vague and not searchable. How can I do this easily or with help?
  • Add and find more stores/sites
  • Add more diorama parts? Is there a demand?
  • Add more scales and franchises
  • Add STLs too? eventually? Maybe?
  • Automate it all – (it’s almost all automated now)
  • Get automated deals in place
  • Find a better theme and get a logo?
  • Possibly add tips/tricks/blog? (since I already blog about this on my other site)

    Another suggestion for characters/species, etc that people don’t know the name for searching… tags for various things like movie they appeared in, tv series, etc and then even more specific tags like Cantina, Jabba’s Palace, Garsa Fwip’s Sanctuary, etc. Even tags like Clones, Emperials, Jedi, Droids, …. just about any tag that would group something with others with some kind of commonality to make a multitude of searches available.

      Pat – Totally agree, the problem is that I can only automate so much of the tagging. At some point we need a human (me, currently) to tag
